Yoshin Ogata

Biography
Yoshin Ogata was born in MiyakonojĊ (Japan), in 1948.
He lives and works in Italy.

In 1970, after studying at the British Museum in London, he embarked on a long journey through Europe and later decided to explore the United States and Mexico, becoming fascinated by ancient Mayan sites.

Later, having moved to Italy, Ogata devoted his time to studying the great masters of classical and modern sculpture. He graduated in sculpture from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, further deepening his studies in Florence, Rome, and finally Carrara.

His first exhibition in Italy was in 1973, at Palazzo Strozzi in Florence, in a room reserved for foreigners. Since then, he has been invited to participate in various international art fairs, and group exhibitions in Italy and Europe, as well as numerous sculpture symposia in Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Belgium, Hungary, and Japan.
