Our artists in Venice between National Pavilions and Collateral Events

On the occasion of the 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, titled In Minor Keys and curated by Koyo Kouoh, the contemporary art scene is enriched by a significant presence from Galleria Ravagnan, with five of its artists featured in national pavilions and collateral events.

Their participation takes place within a particularly dynamic context, marked by the presence of new participating nations and an expansion of global cultural perspectives, making this edition of the Biennale a crossroads of languages, identities, and visions.

Among the participating artists, Andrea Roggi is featured in the Pavilion of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, The Forest – The Undergrowth, hosted at Palazzo Donà dalle Rose. His sculptural research, long engaged in a dialogue with nature and with the tensions between matter and spirituality, aligns seamlessly with the pavilion’s theme, contributing to a profound reflection on the environment and cultural stratifications.

Meanwhile, on the island of San Servolo, within the Pavilion of the Republic of Guinea, Le Son de l’Art: l’Écho de la Matière, works by Andrea Vizzini and Marvin are on display. Both artists stand out for a practice that explores matter as a vehicle of memory and resonance, in harmony with the curatorial concept, which investigates the sound of art as a sensitive echo of contemporary transformations.

Completing the group is Ciro Palumbo, featured in the Pavilion of the United Republic of Tanzania, Minor Frequencies: The Inner Life Of A Nation, at Gervasuti Foundation – Palazzo Canova. Palumbo’s painting, suspended between metaphysical vision and symbolic narration, enters into dialogue with themes of individual interiority and collective identity, offering a contemplative dimension that amplifies the concept of “minor frequencies”.

Also joining the group is Andrea Crespi, participating in the exhibition project As Above, So Below at Ex Chiesa dei Santi Cosma e Damiano on Giudecca Island, now home to Fabbrica H3. Crespi continues his exploration of classical forms, mythology, and archetypal universality, experimenting with the language of digital art through a holographic work. Promoted by One Ocean Foundation and ZEITGEIST19 and recognized as a collateral event of the 61st Venice Biennale 2026, the project further expands the dialogue between contemporary artistic research and new expressive languages.

The participation of these five artists highlights the role of Galleria Ravagnan as a promoter of artistic research capable of moving across international contexts and engaging with the leading platforms of contemporary art. In a Biennale that places nuance, marginality, and the subtlest vibrations of human experience at its core, their works contribute to shaping a plural, sensitive, and deeply contemporary narrative.
