Bruno Catalano is among the most acclaimed and internationally recognized contemporary sculptors working today. His iconic bronze sculptures, known as The Travelers (Les Voyageurs), have captivated collectors and institutions around the world through a distinctive and unmistakable visual language. Born in Morocco in 1960 and raised in Marseille, Bruno Catalano brings to his work the experience of someone who has crossed different places, cultures, and senses of belonging. A self-taught artist, he discovered sculpture at the age of thirty and embarked on a creative journey that, influenced by Auguste Rodin, Alberto Giacometti, and César Baldaccini, led him to develop a highly personal artistic voice, from clay modeling to bronze casting.

In 2004, a chance event profoundly transformed his work. A casting defect created an unexpected void within a sculpture, suggesting a new expressive direction. From that moment on, the fragmentation of the body became a metaphor for everything each individual leaves behind, carries within, and gradually reconstructs throughout life's journey.
