Attasit Pokpong, born in 1977, is considered one of the fast-rising stars of the Thai contemporary art scene.
He is a technical master of both watercolor and oil painting. His signature figures display a pop-art inspired approach to realistic portraiture, characterized by East Asian features and strong colored lips that contrast the blurred soft skin.
With an impressive international resume of shows dating back to 2004, Attasit Pokpong's work has left a prominent mark on the Asian aesthetic.
Attasit Pokpong has had exhibitions in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Paris, Dublin, Edinburgh, Brussels, Japan, and New York; participating in different art fairs, such as, Beijing Art Fair 2011, Scope Basel 2012, Beirut Art Fair 2014, Singapore Art Fair 2014, Art Taipei 2015, Art Stage Singapore 2016 and Volta Basel 2019.
The artist continues to live and work in Thailand.
